Today’s photo was taken a short distance from yesterday’s photo. Both photos show the dalylilies in full bloom along River Walk in downtown Greenville ( map location ). The sidewalk mural was created by Hani Shihada during Artisphere. Previously I shared this photo of the mural when it was first started.

Earlier this week I happened upon these young ladies after a playful shaving cream fight. They were on their way to the fountain to clean up. Their smiles show they had a good time and feel mischievous.

As shown in today’s photo, Greenville is in what I think of as the purple season. Spring comes in color stages. The stages so far have included red (as seen in berries ), white (bradford pears, apple trees, cherry trees), pink (peach trees and second stage of the cherry trees), yellow ( forsythias and Chinese Witch-Hazel) , and now purple.

Last week I took this photo of a father and son out for a walk next to the Reedy River in downtown Greenville. I found the matching outfits interesting. We should all make time to go for a walk with a loved one … Matching outfits are optional.

I took this photo a while back and choose to share it today. I like the photo because what could have been purely functional was turned into a decorative accent in the flower bed. The water in the photo is the Reedy River. The grass, plants, and drainage are next to River Walk in downtown Greenville.
