It rained all day yesterday and more is forecast for today, tomorrow, and the weekend. Given we still have drought condition the rain is greatly needed … In Greenville, often brings fast water to the Reedy River in Falls Park … What is interesting is the extreme differences between slow water and fast water.

Today’s photo shows a common scene, posing for photos in Falls Park … Actually this one photo contains several interesting scenes, click on the following links to see close-ups of the family taking photos, also in the background a couple posing for a photo in front of the falls, and on the left side of the photo a family enjoying the benches in the park.  Also; if you look closely, on the right hand side of the photo,  you can find a young man watching the water flow past as he enjoys the evening … And I may be in the photo the family took. Their children in the foreground and a smiling photographer in the background.

Today is theme day in the City Daily Photo Blog community. The theme is “lines” … My contribution is a photo of two dogs walking in a straight line. Actually, in my experence, this is an un-usual sight. Most dogs pull on their leash and move at angles away from their human. Witness the dog walking toward the camera … Also, I found it un-usual to see dogs walking on the ledge of a bridge.

I took this photo a short distance from where yesterday’s photo was taken. In fact they were both taken on Saturday afternoon. As you can see I chose to push the color saturation and personally I feel it does a good job of showing the mood of the day. Bright and colorful.

I took this photo late last month, in preparation for theme day on the subject of metal. The photo I went with is related to today’s photo in that both photos are of steel cables under the Liberty Bridge at Falls Park. Remember the previous photo showing me hanging from the steel cables (smile)?
