Max Heller, a former Greenville mayor, is honored in downtown Greenville. I especially like the Fall colors in the background. And the story which unfolds when viewing the photos reading the plaques on the columns which make up the monument.

In case you see a fire, the words on the alarm say “Pull handle then pull down lever” … When the this photo was taken there was a event called Southern Exposure underway which included a cooking program with presentations by famous chefs … Just in case there was a fire Greenville was ready.

The story behind this photo: Last night Connie had an appointment in Atlanta. I was one my own. Instead of going out I unpacked boxes recently shipped from my mother’s house. It was rainy and I was focused on the task of unpacking. Afterwards I realized that I did not have a photo to post and that I had not eaten supper. So I walk one block, picked up a grinder from Bellacino’s, and snapped today’s photo. It had just stopped raining and the photo was taken handheld. I love my camera and the convenience of downtown Greenville … This extra photo shows some of what was unpacked.

On Friday the wind blew, the rain fell, and as you can see petals fell as well. But don’t worry there are plenty of blossoms on the trees left.

I hope your weekend offered an opportunity to relax .. maybe kick off your shoes, put up your feet, and read a book.

Last night we watched the finale of Lost (the TV series we have been hooked on for the last six years) .. so I thought I would share a photo of a truck .. lost on Main Street (smile) … The actor, Terry O’Quinn, who played John Locke in the LOST TV series .. was in Greenville last week. Maybe he is driving the truck or maybe that was his Ferrari in yesterday’s photo.
