One week ago Greenville had snow .. then this weekend we had warm sunny weather .. today’s photo shows a staircase in Falls Park.
After the snow late last week and a return punch on Sunday night .. the sun came out on Monday. Today’s photo shows the City Hall and the new Courtyard Marriott in downtown Greenville.
In my post yesterday, I mentioned that I slipped on the ice and fell .. to add insult to injury; a short time later, as I walked carefully on Main Street, this jogger ran past with all the confidence in the world .. notice the snow in the trees and ice on the sidewalk.
Yesterday, the snow was still falling even with a sunny sky .. actually the snow was falling from the tree limbs. Also, I have to admit that snow was not all which was falling. I slipped on a patch of ice and took a pretty good fall .. not so bad that I did not pull my camera out and take a photo (smile).
I took this photo last weekend. At that point the sky was blue and the sun was out .. however if you look closely you can see the sidewalk is wet. We were in-between rain showers when this photo was taken. The forecast calls for lots of wet weather, so each clear sky will make for a photo opportunity.
The weather man said yesterday would be a break between Winter storms. So I went for a stroll, in Falls Park, and tried to enjoy a little of the sunny sky and warmer tempratures. Now I’m sharing that break with all of you.
The weather was warmer yesterday .. enough so that the hot dog cart, at Main and McBee, was open .. also you will note that heavy coats were not buttoned up.
We have had rainy and cold weather the last few days however yesterday the sun came out and the coats were put away .. I like this photo because of the flowers in the foreground and the old Woolworth building in the background .. The building has been unoccupied for several years and work, in preparation for the planned high-rise, has started.
Blue skies are back and I thought I would share a photo with a lot of blue .. The buildings, One Liberty Square and Two Liberty Square, provide a great accent for the sky .. you may remember these previously post showing the Liberty Square buildings at sunset and the sidewalk next the Liberty Square buildings.
