We had a wonderful extended weekend which we greatly enjoyed … however, when it came time to post a photo I realized I had none I was ready to share … so last night, a walk around the block presented several photo opportunities … the photo I’m sharing shows the low water dam, Swamp Rabbit crossing, Reedy River, River Walk, and Wyche Pavilion … there was even a band playing beach music at the pavilion … this short walk reminded me how much I love living in downtown Greenville.

While on a walk along the Reedy River, I took this photo which highlights the Urban Forest Project. The green space, in downtown Greenville, is enjoyed by many of us .. something we can be very proud of.

Playing fetch with dogs in the park. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 3/12/2010.
When I reflect on this scene I realize I missed what I really wanted to share .. as Connie and I were walking through Falls Park, we noticed several kids taking photos to these dogs playing fetch in the Reedy River. Being a kid myself I brought by DSLR lens to task. However, what I really should have done is captured the kids taking the photos. Because, that is the memory which has stayed with me (smile).

It rained and rained on Tuesday and the water ran fast in the Reedy River on Wednesday .. the ducks were smart enough to stand on the side and watch.

Recently, I noticed this flash of yellow in the grass next to the Reedy River .. I paused, enjoyed the moment, took this photo, and I’m enjoying the moment a second time by sharing it with you.
