The Hyatt Plaza, epicenter of downtown Greenville revitalization nearly 30 years ago is to be renovated. Stores and restaurants with street level access will be added to the Hyatt Plaza, as well as an update to plaza landscaping. Existing businesses have moved out in preparation, and these signs in the windows hint at things to come.

Today is theme day, in the City Daily Photo community, and the theme is empty … our contribution is the empty plaza, at the Hyatt, on Saturday morning after a busy Friday night … the same photo, taken Friday Night would have shown crowds in the Hyatt plaza, all listening to Friday Night Jazz, and applauding their performance … Click here to view thumbnails for all City Daily Photo participants in this months theme.
Today’s photo shows a fountain, at the Hyatt Plaza, in downtown Greenville … I liked the photo because the water burst into the sky as it is surrounded by green trees … I also liked taking the photo because it was hot and there was some spray to cool me off (I quickly dried my lens) … for those following our post yesterday about a fellow photo blogger missing in Tehran … the news it that “A” has been released and is home with his family.
