Yesterday, while walking to work, I captured this photo of morning light reflecting on a staircase railing. It was one of those moments when the ordinary is especially appealing.

Looking directly opposite from yesterday’s photo I was treated to a similar brick facade and a stain glass window lit by the morning sun passing through a church in downtown Greenville. It is interesting to reflect on the difference looking one way then the opposite. Many contrast can be considered. A business then a church, private then open to the public, broken window then stain glass window, dark then light, the list goes on. And all of it made special by the morning light.
On Sunday morning we were up early so I took this photo of the morning light. The reason we were up early is that a film crew moved into the parking lot and streets around our condo complex. All night long we heard beep, beep, beep. You know the sound from trucks backing up. As a result we lost sleep. Then just like kids who are afraid they will miss something we got up early to see what was happening. Here is the view from our condo when we woke up.
On my walk to work yesterday I found the morning light interesting. The building is the restored Huguenot Mill. The architecture is interesting as well.
Cold weather has arrived in Greenville. This photo was taken yesterday morning showing ice in the fountain in front of the Westin Poinsett Hotel. The winters are normally mild in Greenville but the last two days it has been cold! I was pleased with the lighting in the photo and that the fountain was flowing.
