This is a follow-up to yesterday’s photo about a typical breakfast in Greenville. Today I thought I would share a self portrait taken in Coffee Underground which is my favorite place to eat breakfast.

This is a follow-up to yesterday’s photos about lighting in Greenville. Today’s photo shows the lights at my favorite Saturday morning activity. For those that follow GreenvilleDailyPhoto you know I am talking about bagels and hot chocolate at Coffee Underground. The person shown in today’s photo is Dana, the owner of Coffee Underground. I have a whole series of photos from coffee underground including a recent self portrait … When you reflect on it, do you have a favorite place? Not your home. But a place where you go out and you are most at home.
Have you every had a photo you really wanted to save. Today’s photo is a perfect example. The focus was off yet I really like this photo. To me the photo has youth, joy, attitude, and most of all love of photography. So I played around with PhotoShop filters. Please let me know which filter you like. The large photo uses a Sumi-e filter. The thumbnails use: Glowing Edges, Spherize, Tile, & Colored Pencil.

PS: A special thanks to the young photographer for agreeing to let me post a photo of her.
On a cold windy day in downtown Greenville these kids found something to do inside. On Saturday when we walked from our condo to Coffee Underground it was cold. When we arrived the place was packed with kids, families, and couples. A special thanks to these kids for agreeing to have their photo taken. They wanted to know if they would become famous.
