Today’s photo is another photo from the Reedy River Run. See the last few days for additional photos … Today’s photo has overexposed light given I was facing the sun … I have included this link to the same scene taken from the other side of the Liberty Bridge. What is being shown are chairs and buckets lining the Liberty Bridge. The intent is that as runners complete the race they sit in the chair to remove the timing chip which they have placed in the laces of their shoe. Then they drop their timing chips in the buckets which are then collected and read into a computer program. As I understand it the timing chip is activated as the runner crosses the start line then the ending time is captured when the runner crosses the finish line. All very high tech except for the bucket of course.

Apples, bananas, oranges, bagels, and water were provided for the runners after they completed the Reedy River Run in downtown Greenville. I found the scene interesting and took this photo to share with our readers. The scene sort of remined me of a festival in Menton France which is based on fruit. Drop by and leave a comment for Jilly who shared photos of over 145 metric tons of citrus at the La Fête du Citron preparation, entrance, dragon, and my favorite the pirate ship. All made from lemons and oranges!
