Last night we watched the finale of Lost (the TV series we have been hooked on for the last six years) .. so I thought I would share a photo of a truck .. lost on Main Street (smile) … The actor, Terry O’Quinn, who played John Locke in the LOST TV series .. was in Greenville last week. Maybe he is driving the truck or maybe that was his Ferrari in yesterday’s photo.

As a follow-up to yesterday’s photo showing a Cadillac .. I’m sharing a Ferrari today. This beautiful car was parked in front of the Westin Poinsett Hotel last weekend. I especially like how the engine is on display.

Recently I took this photo of a classic Cadillac convertible cursing cruising down Main Street .. it does a good job showing the wonderful weather in Greenville. I also like the ornamental street lamps, the sculptures, and the sign point to Falls Park.

Visit Bikeville.org for information about Greenville’s bicycle friendly community initiative and to read about the Bicycle Friendly Community award which Greenville has received.

One of our favorite events .. during spring and fall Greenville offers moonlight movies, on Wednesday night, at the amphitheater behind the Peace Center and next to the Reedy River. We try not to miss any and we lobby for the season to be extended. The photo shows a scene from the Creature from the Black Lagoon. The sub title says “Only, they say, nobody has ever come back to prove it”. The buildings in the background are; The Hampton Inn in on the left and the Terrace Condo’s are on the right.

Umbrellas have become a common site on Main Street .. I read a story once about Max Heller, a former Mayor of Greenville, who begun the revitalization of downtown Greenville in the 1970s. In the story I read Max Heller was quoted as saying something along the lines of when we find sidewalk dinning on Main Street we will know his vision has come true. Greenville also has the Max Heller Legacy Plaza. I highly recommend reading the plaques and following the photos which lead you through the wonderful story of an amazing life.
When I took this photo I knew I was going to like it based on the subject. This reminds me of a previous post about the ducklings on the Reedy River in downtown Greenville.
