I took this photo while on a stroll downtown in Greenville. There is nothing special about the sign. However, I liked how the ornamental grass was backlit by the sun. Click here to see a similar photo of ornamental grass which I posted previously. This landscaping approach is very popular in Greenville at present.

We returned from a trip late on Saturday and early on Sunday I shopped at the Publix (map location) grocery store shown in this photo. It is interesting how dependent one becomes on a grocery store. Especially if you want milk with your oatmeal and hot chocolate … I like this photo because of how the lamppost leads the viewer’s eyes to the background where the Poinsett Hotel can be seen.
This is a continuation of the my photo hunt on Sunday evening. This photo was taken at the same time as yesterday’s photo. At about 8:30 which was 15 minutes after sunset. It is that magic time just after sunset when the camera captures all the blue the sky has to offer. This photo was taken looking east … Other photos of Carolina First which we have posted include a view from the top of another building downtown, also a reflection, and a view from the front.
Recently, I had an opportunity to take photos from the top of a building in downtown Greenville. The light was not great however some of the shots turned out. I am pleased with them mostly because of the perspective. I plan to share a few of these “birds eye” photos mixed in with my current event photos over the next week. So be sure and check back to see what is posted … My favorite previously posted photo of the Carolina First building was this reflection shot.
