drain covers

Green drain covers at a construction site in downtown Greenville. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman.

I asked one of the construction workers what the green domes were and he explained that these are covers for the storm drains. They help prevent too much dirt entering the drains during heavy rain. He also explained that they are common at most constructions sites. I know I have noticed many such covers on the construction sites on I385.

Exploring in Falls Park as seen from above. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman.

In Falls Park there is a small bridge that crosses a creek which feeds into the Reedy River. As I walked over the bridge I noticed a boy exploring and I thought the perspective would make for an interesting photo.
