As a follow-up to yesterday’s post about flowers, today we show a wider view. This scene is of flowers with trees in the background. If you look closely you will see people enjoying their lunch in the shade.

PS: I’m taking a break (see note in side bar) for detail. I hope you enjoy the repost of photos from the past

This photo is for my sister Norma .. she recently posted a photo of yucca plants on our family website. So I thought I would share a photo of yucca used the in landscaping of downtown Greenville. Some of our long time readers may remember this previous post, showing a yucca in full bloom, taken in 2008 in the historic west end of Greenville.

These flowers are from the top branches of a ten foot tall Japanese Dogwood tree. Fortunately the tree is next to a bridge and there is a staircase next to the tree as well. Also, the tree is on Japanese Dogwood Lane in downtown Greenville. It’s almost like the photo asked to taken (smile).

Cabbage and Christmas (re-post)

A cabbage plant on Main Street in Greenville, SC This cabbage plant does not appear to be very Christmassy however it was what caught our eye when walking on Main Street yesterday. Plus with a Google search I find that Cabbage is a normal part of the Christmas meal in Denmark. I even found a Red Cabbage Christmas Salad Recipe on the Internet. So I felt I can get by with passing this photo off as a Christmas photo. What do you think?

PS: I’m busy with family and chose to re-post a previous Christmas photo. I hope you are also enjoying family .. Merry Christmas … PPS: We are having cabbage for Christmas this year (smile).

PPPS: We are trying a new theme and we hope you like it. The theme is designed to focus on the photo. Hopefully you notice a larger photo without slower load times. Also given the theme has flexible width; those who use higher resolution, on their computer screens, should see the photo increase up to 900×600 pixels.

Today’s photo shows more of the yellow flowers next to River Walk in downtown Greenville … the hard working grounds crew will be pleased to know that I was in fact on the designated walkway when I took this photo (smile).

PS: Please stop by Budapest Daily Photo to tell Zsolt and Zannnie congratulations on reaching their 1,000th post.

Locals from Greenville might be able to tell this photo is about two weeks old. The blooms, from these flowers, are gone but there are many more to come … You may remember these past photos of flowers in downtown Greenville … Daffodils with Mary’s Restaurant in the backgound and Tulips are blooming.
