This weekend we listened to Drummer Will as he performed at the Saturday Market. He was very entertaining and the crowed loved it. I recommend our readers visit the Drummer Will website and listen to his music including original compositions. There are videos on his website as well.

I took this photo at the Saturday Market in downtown Greenville. There were lots of children in costume and some carving pumpkins. The weather was perfect and everyone was having a great time.

What I like most about this photo is how the child’s father patiently waits while his daughter carefully picks each peach to fill their basket. This may be a memory the child will retain forever.

I heard a story, on A Prairie Home Companion by Garrison Keillor, claiming that corn fresh from the field was better than … well you know what I mean (blush) … Anyway I’m not sure I agree however the corn was very fresh at the Saturday Market in downtown Greenville. Yesterday morning we strolled down main street and shopped at the Saturday Market. In addition to fresh produce there is also shrimp sold by Geechie Seafood. The shrimp was brought in fresh from Charleston … I have included a few extra photos. Click on the thumbnails for a larger image … Note the last thumbnail on the right.
