New Orleans style jazz played at Piazza Bergamo in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 8/23/2007. On a recent post I described the scene: “There were lights twinkling in the trees, lots of people walking on the sidewalks, and a band playing in the background”. Today’s photo shows what I was describing … Click here for a photo, of closeup of a similar band, taken in in May of 2006.

ad libitum impromptu playing experimental jazz in downtown Greenville, SC After leaving the Greek Festival (see yesterday’s photo) I much enjoyed the experimental jazz band playing on Main Street. Their name is ad libitum impromptu and you can hear their music at their MySpace site. Their blog says they have a debut album which is called “I like to plan my flaws” and they did the music for a movie called “The End of Frank”.
