The Saturday Market is a great way to start the weekend.
Local readers you may want to consider placing December 6th on your schedule when they hold their Holiday Festival. Their website says: “Stock up on seasonal produce, find the perfect holiday gift or just bring the children for a family photo with Santa Claus”.

Saturday I enjoyed the ribs barbequed by Blockhouse. They also made a great photo opportunity … For lunch I had Fried Rice and Steak from MiMi’s Japanese Steak House … I hope everyone is enjoying a taste of Greenville during the festival.

The Fall for Greenville website states that they have been named “Most Family Friendly Event” by Update Parent Magazine. I think today’s photo shows they are living up their reputation … Friday evening had large crowds, wonderful weather, and great food. We started the weekend with one of favorites, Two Chefs to Go. We can highly recommend their pork sandwich with jalapeno coleslaw. And as in past years their pumpkin cheese cake may be the best treat at the festival.

Like many people I carry a laptop computer back and forth to work. I also listen to music on the XM website while at work. However this photo defines the phrase, taking your music to work, much more literally … Actually I have seen this scene several times and last light I was lucky to be in the right place to capture this photo showing members of the Greenville Symphony walking toward the Peace Center for a performance … The building in the background is the restored administrative office of the Huguenot Mill (map location).

On Saturday I meet Jen and Nicky who had just created the chalk announcement shown. They want everyone to know that the band, called The Red Experience, is playing at Heritage Park in Simpsonville on October 14th. They were very enthusiastic about the band.

I have been very busy at work lately however we made time to go to Friday Night Jazz. We especially enjoyed the dancing … Although the band placed blues every time a song had a beach music beat the dance floor was full … Following are a few extra photos.
