This conference bike was in action at Trailblazer Park during Bike Day. Conference bikes have a number of uses – from letting blind people join the ride to organizations renting them for a meeting. For those meetings, they set a distance limit for meetings; when they complete the planned route for the ride, the meeting is declared to be over.

It’s a good thing that they don’t have to balance on the Party Pedlar!

This is revolutionary to me, Mike. Did not know such a thing existed! How does the direction get determined, if more than one person has pedals?

The direction is controlled by one person – on this bike, it’s the guy to the right holding the steering wheel. The bar in the middle is for everyone to grab and pedal, but it doesn’t steer.

It’s quite strange to be pedaling forward but moving backward or sideways!

Now this is really something. Haven’t even thought of something like this and I’m still having difficulty in getting my head around the concept! Thank you!!
