Wet Crossing

no comments

The lights at the Trio Restaurant are very inviting on a rainy evening, as pedestrians need umbrellas to stay dry.

Wet Seat

“Joel Poinsett” had to sit on a wet bench this weekend, because there was more rain than usual.  The rain is welcome however.   The last report from the SC Climate office listed Greenville county as having a moderate drought condition.  The statue of Joel Poinsett is located in front of the Poinsett Hotel on Main Street.

Art on the walls at Addy's Dutch Cafe in downtown Greenville. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman.

We enjoyed a great meal at Addy’s Dutch Cafe last night and also enjoyed the art on the walls. Local Greenville residents know that Addy’s serves the best soups in town. Last night we had a muster, brie, and white asparagus soup. In fact Addy’s soups are so good you can put your name on a list to be notified when he makes on of your favorites … You may remember these past photos from Addy’s. Very cool lights at Addy’s ~~ Brown Street and Coffee ~~ blue shutters ~~ and art work in progress.

This photo of window shoppers and a baby in a front baby carrier was taken last November (notice the leaves) .   This Subway is located on North Main Street across from the Hyatt.

Bookend Construction

no comments

Construction is well underway on the second “Bookend” of the South Spring Street parking garage residential unit along Washington Street, referred to as “100 East” on the sign.   There will also be retail space on the street level.

There is also some construction taking place on the Spring Street side of the parking garage, but I cannot yet see what’s being done to those pillars.

Chocolate Moose

A look behind the counter at the Chocolate Moose on Main Street. I can personally verify that the cupcakes are as good as they look (we tried the Black Bottom variety, top right).
