West End Wine and Sprits in downtown Greenville. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman.

This weekend we stopped in at West End Wine and Spirits and we were very pleased. I understand they have wine tastings on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s.

Today’s photo is a follow up on yesteday’s photo and others I have posted recently about relaxing. Maybe I need a vacation (smile).

Although I cannot recommend wading in the Reedy River I’m a little envious of this young lady relaxing by the river cooling off with her feet in the water.

I took this photo because I thought the staircase looked like a smiling face. Then I heard the story of Steve Jobs resignation. Given the Apple store in the top left of the photo and the number one in the bottom left, I felt this would work as a tribute to the life time accomplishments by Steve Jobs. Connie and I were fortunate to have an opportunity listen to a speech by Jobs many years ago. And I personally have fond memories of using the Apple Lisa, the Apple Macintosh, and the iPhone.

I like this sign advertising a back to school special at The Clothing Warehouse in downtown Greenville. They specialize in classic vintage clothing and I suspect the kids are enjoying the styles as much as we did in our youth. Note the Facebook/TheGvilleCDub page mentioned at the bottom on the sign.

There are a series of similar signs throughout Greenville. . I especially like this sign given the visual effect. I also like the message. In smaller print the sign says: “Support adult literacy in Greenville County. Attend the Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale August 20 at McAlister Square 8:30-4:00″
