Flowers in front of the foundation wall for McBee Mill constructed in 1815. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman.

The rain has returned so I looked for photo opportuities with out the sky as a background. This flowering bush caught my attention and it has the added benefit of having a background showing the foundation wall from the McBee Mill constructed in 1815. The photo was taken at Falls Park in downtown Greenville.

If you look closely you can see a tennis shoe perched on the low water dam .. here is a link which highlights the tennis shoe.

PS: This photo was taken with my iPhone using an application called Color. Check out Color.com .. The idea sounds like a lot of fun. Simultaneously use multiple iPhones and Androids to capture photos, videos, and conversations into a group album. Share together in a new, moving social network.

The dogwood trees are blooming in Greenville. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman.

The dogwood trees are blooming and can be seen in many locations. Today’s photo was taken at the Rock Quarry Garden. See yesterday’s photo of the Rock Quarry Garden. On the left, of the yesterday’s photo, you can see the dogwood shown in today’s photo. I personally enjoy catching a flash of white (dogwood blooms) as I drive through the country side around Greenville.

Rock Quarry Garden in downtown Greenville. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman.

While on a walk yesterday I took this photo of the Rock Quarry Garden … notice the family laying on a blanket and the little boy playing in the water. Also notice the flowering trees. The Rock Quarry Garden is a great place to enjoy our wonderful spring weather.

PS: I have included this link because Marsha asked where Rock Quarry Garden is located. Note that the garden does not appear on Google maps. Start at the intersection of Ridgeland Drive and McDaniel Ave. Then the garden is between Sherwood Street and McDanial Ave.
