Tamales .. a Christmas tradition in our family

Tamales are a Christmas tradition in our family.

I hope your Christmas is as wonderful as ours. We spent Christmas eve with our oldest daughter, son-in-law, and our grandson. On Christmas day we will hold a Skype video call with our youngest daughter, her finance, and son. They are in Ireland and having a wonderful time with relatives.

As is our normal family tradition we made tamales. The tradition started 40 years ago when I married Connie. My mother-in-law made tamales each Christmas and as we have moved around the world we carried on this tradition .. passing it along to our children and they in turn are passing it along to theirs.
