Greenville has had a few rainy days this week and as a result I am sharing a photo from my walk to work. It was nice to use an umbrella and to get my feet wet. However, the experts say the rain this week will not make a dent in the 16 inch shortfall in moisture we are experiencing.

This photo shows the Wyche Pavilion all lit up ready for an event … It appears to me that the Wyche Pavilion is one of the most popular venues for wedding, receptions, parties, and events. Normally when they are all setup, as shown in this photo, there would be a lot of people in the scene as well. However it appears to me that, during Fall for Greenville, the Wyche Pavilion was lit as a form of advertising. Larkin’s on the River manages the Wyche Pavilion as an event venue.

I spend Saturday working on a much delayed Daily Photo Map programming effort. As a result I am posting a photo from last weekend. Actually I like this photo but I missed the photo hunt.

This photo shows a flower pot at Falls Park. The building in the background is RiverPlace and as you can see this is where the Michelin on Main store is at.

Greenville is in need of rain so we are all watching the clouds. This one, with a little help from the sun, was putting on a display … I also took a photo of these same rays of sun from the Piazza Bergamo.

Yesterday, I took this photo of the Liberty Bridge which I an including as part of my walk to work series. As idyllic as this appears it actually involved some effort to take the photo. When I walk to work I carry my laptop and my camera. In addition, on this morning I had stopped by Starbucks (sorry Dana from Coffee Underground). So to take the photo involved a juggling act.
PS: Several commenters asked so I thought I should mention that the Liberty Bridge is a curved pedestrian suspension bridge. For more information visit the Falls Park about page. Also, click here to see a previous post of mine showing the Liberty Bridge on a bright sunny Winter day.
