For local readers this photo is an announcement that the peaches are in season and available at the Saturday Market in downtown Greenville. For our international readers … Don’t believe the advertising about the Georgia peach. Many more and Tastier Peach are grown in South Carolina.

they look very healthy and tasty. Perfect for breakfast:)
peachy keen! i have to visit your website more often…your photos are interesting, i see the one before makes use of shadows and light…your comment on the balcony view–it washed out! still learning photography, especially working with the sun always washing color out on me. i prefer photographing on cloudy days.
i looked at the previous photo before, and it looks like a red filter or tone.
Beautiful photograph – mouthwatering. Do you have yellow AND white peaches in America? I never saw these till I came to France. Flavour is quite different. I prefer the white ones.
great photo Denton
Can you send a box Denton?? Peaches are something we don’t get in the market here and your photo makes me want one right now!!!!
Zsolt, I’ll have to try peaches for breakfast. They have always been an afternoon snake or part of a desert for me.
Gwen, thanks for you comments. I actually prefer sunny days and love it when I take a photo with blue sky. I have also experimented with low light photography and had some good luck with it. I have found that for the best outdoor photos the lighting needs to be just right. Taking them early morning or late evening works the best. For the best blues in photography take twilight photos just after the sun sits.
Gwen, you have a keen eye. It was not a filter however I did do some post processing and pushed the shadows, highlights, and contrast.
Jilly, I personally have not heard of a white peach. I’ll have to ask around.
Ann, thank you
Jules, maybe we can exchange coconuts and peaches.
This must be a very different variety of peach from those grown in Arkansas. Ours are ripe in June. I know South Carolina is the leading peach producer east of the Mississippi but I thought you all had the harvest in July. Was this a funny year for peaches?
Annie, I really should have said “still in season”. I Googled the subject, in South Carolina the season is from May through August with June and July being the peak months. However, ask my photo shows there are still a lot of fresh peaches early in September.
Oh, they do look good! Not many local peaches here in Villigen (not warm enough for long enough, I guess) but we have had some wonderful pears. In fact, maybe the best I’ve ever had of the Williams pear sort.
