A self portrait taken of a reflection in a store front window in downtown Greenville, SC
This is a self portrait taken of my reflection in a store front window in downtown Greenville. The subject of the photo is silly … No not me … I mean the colored toilet tissue on sell.

PS: I’m taking a break (see note in side bar) for detail. I hope you enjoy the repost of photos from the past.

Community Drumming lead by Jeff Holland (repost)

Jeff Holland, founder of Drum4Work.com, at an event in Falls Park in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 10/26/2009.
On Sunday Jeff Holland, founder of Drum4Work.com, held an event in Falls Park. Jeff’s website says the events “motivate people with the rhythm of life”. I have to agree and I recommend local readers make an effort to catch a future community drumming event. It was so much fun I have included several extra photos. Lampost (repost)

Lampost at Falls Park in downtown Greenville, SC
I noticed a silly little thing and have been curious ever since … Most of the lamppost in downtown Greenville are marked with the number 17. Here is a close-up photo … I have asked a few friends if they have a theory as to why. The idea I liked most was that maybe 17 is the number of the inspector. Like the slip of paper that says “inspected by # 17″ which you sometimes find in new underwear.

Home sweet home! Poinsett Corners condo complex in downtown Greenville, SC Because the last two photos have lead us home it is only fair that I share a photo of were we live. This is a view of the Poinsett Corners condo complex. We live overlooking this courtyard … The last three photos have been twilight photos so I promise a daylight photo tomorrow.

The way home (repost)

For us, this arrow points the way home. The scene is of Court Street in downtown Greenville, SC
Last night, we went out with a group from our condo. We had an great time. On our way home I tried to capture a little of the twilight sky. This photo also plays with the arrow on Court Street. For us the arrow literally points the way home … Note that credit for the perspective on this photo should go to Rested Traveler who posted a similar photo recently. RT is a frequent visitor and commenter at GreenvilleDailyPhoto. RT is also a outstanding photographer who has inspired previous photos of mine.
