Today’s photo is about democracy in action very close to home. You see last night was the Home Owner Association annual meeting for the condo we live in. The meeting was held in the Hughes Library where I took this photo of the rotating globe just out side the meeting room we used … It was great to have our vote counted … past photos of the Library include an outside view and graceful curves.
PS: I’m still under the weather and re-posting as a result.

Denton,
It seems that I remember that globe from many, many years ago when it was at the “old” library…
David, I remember this globe in the old library as well. I think the presentation of the globe in the old library was grander than it is today. I remember a curved staircase with the globe on the side ask you walked up the stairs.
A friend alerted me to this site. We lived in Greenville for 14+ years, through all of the 80s and early 90s, and I am enjoying looking at these photos. I enjoyed our time in Greenville and would love to be back there. Thanks for the pictures!!
Barbara, you are welcome. I’m pleased you enjoy my photos and your memories of Greenville. Tomorrows photo may bring back a few more memories.
When I was a boy, I used to really love going to the old library so I could watch the big globe turn.
Hope you’re feeling better today! Love globes; makes me appreciate the wonders of this wonderful world. Well, usually it’s pretty wonderful.
