While looking for photo opportunities yesterday I met Greg and Annette Anderson. It turns out that they had just renewed their vows and were posing for photos in the snow. I was very pleased they agreed to let me take a photo and share it with our readers … Click here for a wider view of the scene … It may not be apparent in the photo so I thought I should mention the snow was falling at about the rate of 1-2 inches per hour when this photo was taken.
Note that I was busy with family yesterday so I chose to re-post this photo taken in March of 2009. We are expecting snow so I hope for a photo opportunity as good as this one.

so cold in those sleeveless gown!
Our wedding day was with on the arrival of the first snow and my gown was a bustier…so i can imagined at this snowing rate of 1-2 inches/hour….how much she wanted a snowy wedding photo of herself in the gown!!! :P
cold but it’s very very beautiful mood with the falling snow :) good shot Denton!
It was very cold, but I would not trade those photos for anything.
You did a beautiful job, Denton! Thanks!
Annette, I’m so glad I got the spelling of your name correct … thanks for letting me take and share these photos.
Zannnie and Zsolt, your wedding photo was beautiful.
Beautiful capture. The bride is radiating sunshine, even in the snow. We’re featuring snow tomorrow since the storm blew our way!
Jan
Wow, what an opportune moment. Is that a spotlight shining on the bride?
We finally encountered the storm you guys had over the weekend today.
Beautiful! I’m wondering, did they jump on this opportunity for snow photos or did it coincidentally happen to snow on the day they had already planned to do this? It certainly ended up yielding an unusual and memorable photo shoot.
Where in Greenville was this? Thank you.
Brrrr! ;-)
I can see why it’s your favorite. A very different and unique wedding photo. Great idea!!
Bryan, I am note sure if this was a spontaneous or planned event. Maybe Annette will respond to your question.
These are really special photos — I esp. love the one from a distance, showing the photographer in action. Really nice. I want a monopod! :)
Thanks Lessie. A monopod allows a lot quicker re-positioning … I went back and forth on which photo to feature. I think the one from a distance is a better photo however the one featured does a better job of showing Annette
It was a spontaneous event. Annette told me that she wanted snow for her wedding 2 years ago. She said that taking these photos in her wedding dress was something she couldn’t resist!
I don’t blame her…I would have wanted to do it too!
ANNETTE IS MY BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER. SHE IS AS BEAUTIFUL TODAY AS SHE WAS ON HER WEDDING DAY! I AM PROUD OF HER EACH AND EVERY DAY. LOVE YOU HONEY!!!
What a great photo, Denton! It obviously was a memorable event; I love the way people celebrate important events in their lives. This photo is a real treasure and quite unique.
thank you Kate .. I was very pleased to have happened upon the scene.
Again Denton, you captured the moment. Wonderful!
Thank you Jan. It was a wonderful moment for the bride .. the groom was beaming .. the bride’s mother commented above and was brimming with pride. I was very pleased to have the opportunity to take and share this photo.
What a wonderful and memorable shot Denton! Where in Greenville was this taken, I can’t figure it out?
Tom, this photo was taken behind the Peace Center in downtown Greenville. There is a horse shoe fountain which flows into a pool. As the water flows from the pool to the fountain there are two small bridges which cross the water. This photo was taken on the bridge closest to the pool of water. The fountain and flowing water is next to the patio at Lakins on the River.
Yes, I visualize that now! In 4 years, when I move to Greenville from Miami, FL I won’t be stumped again!
