Yesterday my grandson and I played in the snow and ice at Linky Stone Park. Clay pot people are in the background of this photo and there are lots of other interesting characters to visit. My grandson liked Winnie the Pooh best. We are fortunate to live close to several parks, Linky Stone is just across the street from our condo complex … Greenville received mainly ice during this storm. However a short drive north, of Greenville, there was lots of snow. I think I would prefer lots of snow to a little ice. Later during the day I walked downtown and it was treacherous .. I slipped once and whacked my camera .. now that is serious (smile).

While looking for photo opportunities yesterday I met Greg and Annette Anderson. It turns out that they had just renewed their vows and were posing for photos in the snow. I was very pleased they agreed to let me take a photo and share it with our readers … Click here for a wider view of the scene … It may not be apparent in the photo so I thought I should mention the snow was falling at about the rate of 1-2 inches per hour when this photo was taken.
Note that I was busy with family yesterday so I chose to re-post this photo taken in March of 2009. We are expecting snow so I hope for a photo opportunity as good as this one.

Yesterday was a sunny warm day .. however as seen in this photo, late in the day, the clouds started to appear and today we are under a Winter Storm Watch. This time of year one day makes a lot of difference. If we do receive Winter weather I be sure and take some photos.

Recently I took this photo while strolling through Falls Park .. I found it interesting that grass is growing on the sides of bricks. The grass is growing on a vertical wall .. the foundation wall from the McBee Mill built in 1829. Here is a link to a photo showing more of the McBee Mill foundation wall in Falls Park.

Yesterday the crowds on Main Street were unusually large .. I asked the reason and I understand there was an annual meeting and the crowd was changing venues. Actually the crowds on Main Street have grown larger over the years however not as large as shown in today’s photo.

This photo shows a door with peeling green paint and the number 12 .. in the warehouse district of downtown Greenville. I understand the goal is a renovation, of this area, with a focus on attracting high tech companies.
Note that I originally posted a different photo today showing the Reedy River Falls. However it had been taken a few days previously and given the amount of rain we have experienced recently the water levels in my photo did not accurately depict how fast the water is running. I’ll stop by the falls today and take a photo.

Today’s photo shows the Old Cotton Warehouse in the Historic West End of Greenville .. I took the photo while on a stroll recently. As you can see, it was a cloudy and overcast day .. plus I was taking the photo facing the sun. However, I personally liked how the photo turned out.
PS: We spent the weekend at Seabrook Island and while there I took a photo of the Angel Oak which I share on our Seabrook Island Daily Photo site. I highly recommend visiting the tree.
