Drumming in Falls Park yesterday brought smiles to everyone there .. the smiling couple, in today’s photo, have shakers and were complementing the rhythm of the drums .. you can see several different percussion instruments in the thumbnail photos shown below .. Bravo to those who participated and to Jeff Holland for organizing the ongoing event .. To explain; there is an ongoing drum and dance festival held the last Sunday of each month and yesterday it was held in Falls Park .. I understand yesterday was the last outdoor event until Spring .. you can visit Drums 4 Work to obtain information on next months event .. Following are a few extra photos (click on the thumbnails to see a larger image).

Saturday was sunny, bright, and warm .. Sunday is forecast to be even warmer. Today’s photo shows the art in front of the Carolina First building. The art is called Interval: Mountain Fall.
PS: Drum and Dance Festival – today -back in the park one more time before cold weather moves it inside .. I will be there and I hope you can make it as well. If you see me say hello and I’ll take your photo.

I took this photo on my way home from work yesterday .. it was one of those moments when several blocks away I could see the sunset’s reflection on the Sun Trust building .. it was a special moment in time but I was too far away .. so I hustled down the street snapping away .. naturally the photos did not do justice to the actual moment however I like this photo and chose to share it. Interestingly what I like the most is that the photo is taken from the perspective of a bicyclist .. I like how the bicycle path is the focus of the photo .. actually I was not ridding a bike .. however I had stepped into the bike lane to take the photo .. a photographer is less likely to be ran over in the bike lane than in the middle of the street (smile).

The tree, in today’s photo, can be found on Church street next to the Greenville County Court House .. I’m not an expert however I think it is a Live Oak .. how the branches bend reminds me of the Live Oaks along the coast of South Carolina .. for those of our readers who celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday we hope you did not eat too much and that you spent quality time with loved ones.

As often occurs the holiday’s get a little blurred .. toward that end today’s photo shows Christmas decorations which started appearing a few days before Thanksgiving .. it appears Greenville’s Main Street will be decorated with candy this year .. in addition to these candy canes, down the street there are lollipops.

Given yesterday’s photo was mostly white I thought I would follow that with a photo which is mostly black .. personally I find benches, like bicycles, make for enjoyable photos .. also, benches are often located for the view they provide .. so I always have sit in the bench I photograph and see what the bench was originally meant to share .. in this case I think the bench’s placement was intended to complement the landscaping not provide a seat from which one can enjoy a great view.
