Wednesday evening three new sculptures were dedicated in downtown Greenville. Jointly the sculptures are named The Path of Becoming .. individually the sculptures are named emerge, connect, and transcend .. the art is tied to the Reedy River and depicts Greenville’s transition from our past, to current day, and to the future .. local readers should stop by and take a look. They are truly unique and can be found between 300 and 400 South Main Street. The sculptures Brad Spencer, Tammy Spencer, and Tara Thullner did a great job.

Do you know if these sculptures are going to be a permanent feature? They look amazing, but I can only get down there about once a year now. :(
Carrie, yes they are permanent. One of those speaking, at the dedication, pointed out that they will last longer than most of us attending the presentation .. also of interest is that they are intended to be interactive .. in that people may touch them and stroll between them.
My family and I are moving to Greenville in the next month and we’re so excited that the city is so focused on its appearance and promoting itself in such an artistic manner. Keep up the amazing work Greenville. It made our choice of relocation a no-brainer.
Wow! I look forward to seeing it when I am in town for the Fall for Greenville festival.
I pray the weather is beautiful that weekend.
It is unfortunate it didn’t take long for someone to vandalize them. Hopefully the spray paint can be removed. They are beautiful.
Denton, I continue to be impressed with Greenville from your blog. I will absolutely have to spend some time there.
