Today is theme day in the City Daily Photo community and we have chosen night as our theme. My contribution is a photo showing a couple descending the staircase at River Walk in downtown Greenville. I thought the photo did a good job of combining multiple elements of night .. darkness, subdued lighting, even romance .. also the fountain gave me an opportunity to capture the water’s motion which is most effectively done in night photography .. I look forward to viewing theme contributions from around the world .. please drop by and leave them a comment .. let them know you came from Greenville.

What a superb scene. That waterfall is stunning and the photograph absolutely made by the couple descending the stairs. So much to look at here, that gorgeous water fall, the lights, the atmosphere is so nice.
Wow! I like the hazy lights in the “waterfall”!
Happy theme day!

This is such a romantic photo, Denton. I love fountains and this one is just beautiful!
LOVE IT! Really beautiful Denton.
I bet it is their great night!
You old romantic! Great photo, such wonderful elements
Sure looks like dark to me. I hope it is also cool.
I slept under a blanket last night. This has been the coldest July ever recorded here in Ohio where we live. And it was only 59 F here this morning. August is starting out to be more of the same. I fear a climate change is on the way and each year will disrupt the lives of more birds and butterflies to say nothing about the polar bears.
Just popped back to say that when I said I had been sleeping under a blanket it was with the central air not running. We had 59 this morning which is typical for July and already this first day of August. No humidity. Not the normal weather for our area.
Beautiful place beautifully photographed! Cheers Denton, thaks for your visit and kind words!
Nice shot, Denton. It reminds me some spot at Yokohama, Japan.
Yes, I did hike up for few minutes.
Waterfalls in motion are fun to photograph. I really like the mist created by the falling water, adds yet another element to the photo.
awesome
What a beautiful night view of the waterfall.
