While I continue to show photos which are looking up, I found the Ristorante Bergamo sign presented a photo opportunity … some of my readers may remember this previously post photo showing diners Ristorante Bergamo and this photo showing the tulips blooming in front of Ristorante Bergamo.

Today’s photo shows a fountain, at the Hyatt Plaza, in downtown Greenville … I liked the photo because the water burst into the sky as it is surrounded by green trees … I also liked taking the photo because it was hot and there was some spray to cool me off (I quickly dried my lens) … for those following our post yesterday about a fellow photo blogger missing in Tehran … the news it that “A” has been released and is home with his family.

Today, several of us in the City Daily Photo community are blogging in support of one of our friends. We are calling him “A” given bew blogged from Iran and is missing (reported to be arrested for taking photos). I am not mentioning his name or referencing his site given I don’t want to increase the risk he is in … what I want to do is express outrage at crimes against the Iranian citizens by their government … today I share a photo showing the color green (the official color of the movement for reform in Iran) and a tree, in Greenville, which I personally find inspirational … follow this link to see similar post by City Daily Photo bloggers in support of our friend who is missing (reported to be arrested for taking photos).
PS: A blogger, close the the family, reports that “A” has been released and is home with his family … good news, very good news.

Today, I’m sharing another photo highlighting the shade and the shadows which the trees on Main Street provide … I suspect the reason for several of these photos is that I’m spending more time in the shade in an effort to avoid the heat (smile) … July and August are Greenville’s hot months. Ten perfect months followed by two very hot months … here is a link to a previously posted photo showing this colorful condo on Main Street.

Today’s photo was taken in the morning light and shadows as I walked to work recently. It shows the Drake, a downtown tradition since 1932, and the Town House Galleries. Another view of this scene can be seen in this previous post showing The intersection of Main Street and West North Street
.

As a follow-up to yesterday’s photo I’m sharing a closeup of the lawn in front of the Hughes Library in downtown Greenville … you may remember thess past photos of the library and it’s graceful curves.
