This fountain was recently unveiled at the BB&T building in downtown Greenville … I plan to take a nighttime photo of the fountain at some point in the near future.

Today’s photo shows the River Walk fountain in downtown Greenville. Above the fountain you can see the Lazy Goat deck where dinners enjoy a wonderful view.

The water was running fast on the Reedy Falls in downtown Greenville … The sign says “About 1765 — Near Reedy Falls, stood the home, trading station, and grist mill of Col. Richard Pearis, first white settler of this section. He was a noted indian trader and prominent Tory of the revolution. — This marker placed by camps of Greenville County, Woodmen of the World, 1948″ … A previous post discussed the grist meal mentioned in the sign.

A plaque, at the wall, says it is the “Foundation Wall for the Vardry McBee Mill built in 1816-1817″ … the wall can be found at Falls Park in downtown Greenville.

Construction of the Palmetto Bank Plaza is coming along nicely … I’ll post a photo when it is complete … Palmetto Bank deserves an at-a-boy for creating a new green space in downtown Greenville.
