October 8, 2008 - John McCain at Liquid Highway in downtown Greenville

John McCain at Liquid Highway in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 10/8/2008.
Given last night was the second presidential debate I am sharing a politically oriented photo today … Recently I took this photo of John McCain welcoming people at the Liquid Highway in downtown Greenville … Actually McCain and Obama, as cardboard cutouts, both greet customers … Better yet Liquid Highway (map location) allows you to vote, by coffee bean … I recommend you stop in and drop a coffee bean in a jar for the candidate of your choice.

PS: Liquid Highway is one of the locations participating in honor of World Sight Day on Thursday, October 9th. They will have a coffee tastings on Oct. 9 at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Additional Information (from a press alert): CBM-US (Christian Blind Mission) honors World Sight Day on Thursday, Oct. 9, in Greenville with its annual campaign to raise awareness toward a global public health crisis–preventable blindness.

CBM-US CEO Ron Nabors will join Greenville Mayor Knox White and students from the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind to participate in CBM’s annual statue blind-folding ceremony beginning at the Joel Poinsett statue in front of the Westin-Poinsett Hotel at 11:30 a.m.

On the sign in the window, what is the word before “smoothies & more?”

Bryan, the first word is “Coffee”. The glare is playing tricks with the two f’s!

I love working there so far. This weekend was pretty busy and I’m really tired, but a lot more people know we’re open now!
