September 9, 2008 - Riverwalk on a Saturday afternoon

Riverwalk on a Saturday afternoon in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 9/9/2008.
I took this photo a short distance from where yesterday’s photo was taken. In fact they were both taken on Saturday afternoon. As you can see I chose to push the color saturation and personally I feel it does a good job of showing the mood of the day. Bright and colorful.

I am somewhat like others with Photoshop. I mess around from time to time and it is an expensive program and I will not live long enough to learn all the features but I have not seen this feature in it. I guess I will have to look again at Hue and Saturation.

ALso, I don’t know if you are interested or not or if you have ever seen a Pileated Woodpecker, but I posted one on My Birds Blog this morning. It is our largest woodpecker and this is the first one I have seen here in 46 years.

Coloration très originale. On dirait un tableau d’art contemporain.

Bergson, yes the photo does have a comic book feel.

Abe, I use PhotoShop Elements which is actually very reasonable priced. Less than $100 when I purchased. I mostly use PS for resizing my images and to place a water mark on my images. Sometimes I play with it but not that often.

NOTE to my readers. For those of you who love photography I recommend you visit Abe’s photo blogs. He publishes several. I especially enjoy his Birds Blog and his Brookville Daily Photo. Drop by and leave a note.

Tanya, I agree the photo affect my mood as well.

I like the color saturation. It gives me a happy feeling to look at it :)

ann in alpharetta, thanks. It turned out well. Interestingly when I use PS filters it is normally because the original photo is less than perfect but the scene is one I want to share. That was true with this one as well. They sky was not the color I wanted. But the enjoyment everyone was experiencing was what I wanted to convey.

Melanie44036, Merci. La photo réalise également un bon travail de partager une humeur heureuse.

Melanie’s comment translates to “Very original coloring. One would say a table of contemporary art.”
