August 20, 2008 - Davenport entrance as seen during an evening stroll

The Davenport entrance as seen during an evening stroll of downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 8/20/2008.
Today’s photo shows the Davenport entrance as I saw it during a recent evening stroll. I find the building very appealing and we considered the condos, at the Davenport (map location), when we were making our choice to live downtown. I think the building and especially the courtyard has a lot of character. In a magazine article I once saw an old photo of refrigerators lined up in front of the Davenport. The caption said something along the lines of; the Davenport residences are among the first the modern convenence of refrigerators.

Hi from South Shields, nice picture you have here today Denton, a wee bit dark but it still works.

I need your support, see my latest post at South Shields Daily Photo

Photographers rights in the UK and worldwide are under increasing threat and we need to make a stand now!

Unless something changes dramatically, this will be the last ever post at South Shields Daily Photo.

I love the Davenport, its a great old building. When I graduated college I really wanted to move in there but that was before Downtown was spruced up.
