On a recent walk, in the Historic Pettigru Preservation Area near downtown, I took this photo of a law office (map location). It seems that, in the Pettigru area, many of the historic buildings have become law office … Greenville’s downtown is circled by several historic preservation areas. They make a wonderful place to work, live, and take walks looking for photo opportunities. In fact I have shared a few from these areas previously. For example: The Earle Street Historic Preservation Area, the Hampton Pinckney Historic Preservation Area, and the Historic West End.

It’s a beautifully maintained and lovely looking building. Somehow, though, I would rather see a family living in these old houses than a business. The upkeep and taxes would be a burden, I know, but those are pretty much bygone days, I guess.
