Yesterday, on my walk home from work I took this photo of Addy’s Dutch Cafe (map location). Actual, it is the second story of Addy’s. The first floor looks like this and the inside looks like this.
I like the picture also – it is European – so fitting for a Dutch cafe! I have been wanting to try this place since we first visited the city last year! I will have to put it on the short list!
The picture inside got taken with Christmas, which means the xmas light are gone. And Ineke, my grand parents had a dutch pub in Amsterdam and most of the interior came from Amsterdam, which makes its so Duch. SO Dutch that the Dutch Television made a 30 minutes documentation about Addys. The Telegraaf did a article about Addys, just as The Wall Street News, New York Times, London Times. ( Just to mention a few) On my yearly trips to Holland I’m always sure to take some more Dutch decoration with me. Next time in Amsterdam visit The Three Bottles ( De Drie Fleschjes) behind the New Church, thats the sister bar and only 450 years old. South Carolina Flag hangs outside.
Really like this photo, Denton. Windows are a favorite subject of mine.
Well I like it too..not that I have a thing about windows…it is just interesting, like your one in honor of the Blue Star Mothers.
I like this side…
What a nice photo, Denton. It looks so European to me. And I like window boxes full of flowers. Neat.

errr. what’s Dutch about it? Addy probably. Say hi (in Dutch sort of hoy) to him. And when you leave say Doei (pronounced sort of do-i)
