July 1, 2008 - Theme day - No … signs

A no smoking sign in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 7/1/2008.
Today is theme day in the City Daily Photo community and the theme is “No … signs”. I suspect there may be several similar “no smoking” signs however I especially liked the lighting in this photo so I chose to share it. Click here to see theme day photos from around the world.

Fine choice for the theme post, Denton. The lighting does make it quite special.

I’m with Lynette, a bit mysterious atmosphere… Have a good day, dear Denton!

I would go for no smoking anywhere.

I like the lighting and what looks like flowers lining the walkway. Where is this Denton?

The lighting is very cool on this photo. I like the flowers peeking out in the background…

Lynette, thanks. Interestingly the lighting is from a flood light.

Alice, thanks. I appreciate your comment.

Jim K, I expected to see many no smoking signs on theme day and have only found a couple of others.

Lessie, thanks.

Livio, yes, saying no to a vice only makes the vice more appealing.

ann in alpharetta, thanks. The photo was taken on North Main Street across the street from the Trinity Lutheran Church photo I posted earlier this week.

Crittoria, thanks.

Denton, that is nicely lit indeed! I like the design element the lines make on this sign. So, what is beyond that point that doesn’t want smoke exposure?

PS-Greenville isn’t included in the theme day list code I copied into my post yesterday night. I had to search you out. -K.
