Today’s title is a small play on words given this path and the fountain it crosses is next to the Peace Center, Greenville’s performing arts center. About a year ago I posted another photo taken next to the Peace Center with a similar play with words. It was the ladder to peace … I promise to move on to non-nighttime-fountain photos tomorrow (smile).

Yesterday I mentioned the fountain behind the Peace Center. The photo I share today shows a nighttime view of the fountain (map location)

I went for a walk last night to enjoy the sights and sounds or Greenville. Naturally I took a few photos as well. The photo I’m sharing today is of the restaurant Larkin’s on the River (map location). This photo was taken with a pool of water and a small water falls in the foreground with the Larkin’s patio in the background. The water is part of a fountain behind the Peace Center. The Reedy River is on the other side of Larkins … I recommend local reader take an evening stroll and enjoy the fountains Greenville has to offer.
PS: Abe, from Brookville Daily Photo, asked about the settings for this photo. They were: focal length 26mm, exposure time 1/10 second, aperture f/4.5, and ISO 800.

These rings are part of ornamental window grills on the Court Street Condos (map location) in downtown Greenville … Some of our readers may remember these past photos which include Court Street Condos; red bud trees, a sign in a window, and a recent photo of a couple.
PS: For those who like the circles in this photo you may also enjoy the VFXY Theme on circles. You will find this photo there as well.
PPS: For my friends in the City Daily Photo Blog community. You may want to consider registering to participate in VFXY and course the Daily Photo Map.

I considered sharing this photo with an explanation tying it as a metaphor to work, or Greenville’s drought, or any number of such ideas. However, the real reason I took the photo is because I found the scene interesting. The little things are often overlooked and although this scene is not especially appealing it is interesting to me that such a small passage exists … You can also see there were windows on the building on the right. Now that would be a bad view!

While walking at lunch earlier this week I noticed that the parking lot, above the bus station, was being resurfaced. It offered a rare opportunity to take a photo with no cars in the parking log (map location). Some of you may remember a previous post, showing the same parking lot from a different perspective, called points of interest. You may also remember another previous post showing the skylights
