June 22, 2008 - The BB&T drive-up in downtown Greenville

The BB&T drive-up in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 6/21/2008.
Today’s photo shows the BB&T drive-up (map location) at night. I found the symmetry and lighting interesting. Some my remember this previously posted photo showing a night view of the BB&T buildind.

I do visit and I do comment and I was here. I did look at your picture(s) and I did read what you wrote about them. I could say how great you are and how beautiful your work is but alas I would soon run out of things to say on the next blog I visited, so I just left this to prove I stopped and said a few words on Sunday. Getting old is not so easy.

My Rheumatoid Arthritis hurts so I am using the same message for all.

I love your night shots… that’s what alley (along with posed shoots) that I am trying to explore next in my photography. What settings did you use to take these night shots? Did you use a tripod?

You’re right about the symmetry and the lighting, Denton–it’s eye-catching for real. The place reminds me of a bank drive-up near the Reservoir north of Jackson, Mississippi, where my Mama and I sat in our Buick during a terrific downpour, about six years ago. We didn’t have any other way to get the car beneath a cover and had heard hail might be in the storm, so we headed for the bank–thank goodness it was a Sunday.
