May 12, 2008 - A carriage ride in downtown Greenville

A panning photo showing a carriage ride in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 5/12/2008.
This weekend, Main Street was busy with lots of people enjoying the atmosphere. I was visiting with my son-in-law, as we strolled down Main Street. He said several times he was very impressed by the number of people …. Today’s photo was taken using a panning technique. It is interesting what a camera lenses will do when the shutter speed is slowed down … The horse carriage is the same one from yesterday’s photo.

Nice photo, it looks like the girl standing up is about to take electric clippers to the back of that other girls hair.

Jim, the girl standing is actually texting on her cell phone. They may have to come up with a new safety rule to protect those texting while standing in a rolling horse drawn carriage (smile).

I do like to take carriage rides through towns. We have them here, and I’ve never been on one in nashville. I may have to try it.

Can’t we go anywhere without the darn cell phones these days?????
