May 11, 2008 - Petting a horse from the back of a motorcycle

A young lady petting a horse on Main Street in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 5/11/2008.
This is a scene you don’t see very often. A young lady petting a horse while she is riding a motorcycle … The story is; On Friday night we strolled Main Street enjoying the activity and of course taking photographs. This couple was stopped at a traffic light with the horse drawn carriage behind. The lady wanted to pet the horse so she asked the carriage driver to pull forward. As the horse lurched forward I think the relative size of the horse was on the motorcycle drivers mind … No one was hurt and the lady did get to pet the horse before the traffic light changed.

I like to visit cities in horse drawn carriages. We did that in Savannah and have been thankful ever since.

This is an excellent post and who knows, both the horse and the lady could be mothers.

I posted a picture of my furry mother for Mother’s Day. She was so special we considered her part of our family.
