As a follow-up to my recent post showing The West End Association mural I thought I should share a photo of the building the mural depicts. You may also remember this previous photo showing the Nexus of Light sculpture shown in today’s photo.

Thank you, Denton! That brings back some great memories of walking home from church on Sunday mornings!

This is a great building and a nice angle….

Another great pic Denton. That’s always been one of my favorite old buildings in Greenville. I love the triangular shape of the building.

Both streets are two-way. That makes me wonder about having a crosswalk. Is there one hidden by the hedge around the sculpture?
I don’t carry a purse unless I am going somewhere that I think won’t let me in with my rolling black bag. Here’s what’s in it, usually–coin purse, wallet, cameras–Nikon D50 and CoolPix L12, memory card holder, extra batteries, book, lunch and/or a bottle of iced tea–depending on the time of day or day of the week, a rain hat, gloves, scarf–depending on the season, checkbook, and assorted other stuff like the innersoles I change out in my Keens, library books to return. Some days I leave all of it at home except for the coin purse and camera stuff because I get off the bus at the grocery store and buy a few things, then roll them home. Basically, I don’t want to lug stuff, I want to roll it.

Pipermom, you are welcome. Which church were you walking back from? I’ll take a photo of the church for you.
Professor, thank you.
Rock, thanks. There is another triangular shaped building in the Pendleton Street area I will try to capture.
Lynette, funny you asked, I was in the cross walk when I took the photo. Thanks for the explanation about your rolling black bag.
