I took this photo Friday at the very start of Artisphere. Appropriately, the photo shows the start of a sidewalk mural by Hani Shihada being created on River Walk during Artisphere … Local readers should be sure and visit the Artisphere festival this weekend in downtown Greenville.

I don’t believe I’ve seen a more stunning start anywhere, Denton. Will we see more of Artisphere,? I hope so.

I am very excited about Artisphere again this year, though the rain later today will likely be a problem for some potential attendees. I really hope the afternoon concerts will not be too wet. Bonerama is an awesome group I hope to see perform live once again. For those who haven’t been to Artisphere yet, I strongly encourage you to make the time to visit this great festival!

What’s even more amazing is how long this sidewalk art will last. The two created last year were there for close to nine months.

I am always amazed at how they can do this. I couldn’t stay on my knees that long…much less draw like they do. Great photo.

The Artisphere festival sounds like a great time. And I think that those sidewalk artists are amazing. I would love to be able to see one in person someday!

It’s so nice to see and read this about my work. It’s a dazzling surprise.

Hani, I’m very pleased you found our photo blog and commented. Your painting is outstanding. I walk past it daily on my way to work and appreciate it each time. Often I hear words of praise, for you work, from onlookers and ever so often an explanation of surprise from someone who did not know your painting was on Greenville’s River Walk.
Best of luck in your ongoing artistic endeavors.
