Sunday was a good day for a drive on Paris Mountain just outside of Greenville. Actually we drove out of town this weekend however Sunday was a great day for a drive and I took today’s photo on a recent weekend with similar weather … You may remember this past photo of Paris Mountain … The first settler in Greenville was Richard Pearis. It is my understanding that Paris Mountain was named after Richard Pearis. Somewhere along the line the spelling must have been changed.

Love the aspect of the shot - the road leads out eye up and up - and I can breathe that good fresh mountain air. Interesting how names mutate over the years but not surprising.

This shot reminds me that I want to go back to Shawnee Forest this summer for some shots. This scene and those I recall are almost identical in appearance. Nice work.

A wonderful picture.
Doesn’t quite look like spring yet though.
Ming the Merciless says you know lots about technical things.
My question is:
how can one make photos in a blogspot blog really big?
All best wishes

This is such a great photo, Denton, not only for what it is but what it promises–more sights around the bend. Wonderful. As are your outer recent posts. And I don’t blame you one bit for not getting a photo of any street cleaning going on in Greenville. I wouldn’t get any really early ones either ’cause I like my sleep.
