April 2, 2008 - Jared Emerson, autographed painting of Renee Zellweger

Local artist, Jared Emerson, with his autographed painting of Renee Zellweger. Jared has a studio at Art Crossing in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 4/2/2008.
On Monday, local artist Jared Emerson posed for me with his autographed painting of Renee Zellweger. Jared shared with me that the painting will be sold at auction to benefit the Children’s Museum. This painting should be a hot item given Jared’s talent, Renee’s popularity in Greenville, and Renee’s autograph on the painting. Click here to see a close up of the painting and the autograph … Jared said that details about the auction will soon be posted at his website, The Jared Collection. Although the auction date has not been set I understand it will be soon … Local readers may want to stop by Jared’s studio, at Art Crossing in downtown Greenville, to take a look.

PS: Jared shared the following information from a press release:

On Thursday, March 27th Renee Zellweger and George Clooney visited Greenville to receive the keys to the city revolving around the movie Leatherheads which they filmed together and will be premiering April 4th, 2008.

Lynette, thank you. The enjoyment is mine when I take photos of artist.

Magiceye, yes I expect it will and I hope it brings increased recognition of Jared’s talent.

Jana, he is very talented indeed.

Scnsc, maybe we can talk Kelly Lynch into painting Clooney.

Livio, thank you. I assume you mean the thumbnails I sometimes share. The software used to show the thumbnails is a utility called lightbox and was developed by Lokesh Dhakar. Unfortunately my efforts to make it work on blogger have not been successful. However, it works like a charm if you host your own WordPress blog.

Bernice Angoh, yes Jared is very talented. I especially like his paintings of legs. See the one in the background.
