On Thursday evening, we enjoyed a Jazz performance by Jean Calvert. You can listen to her music at MySpace page … The music was great and the venue was special as well. The Greenville County Museum of Art presents events such as this each week on Thursdays. The combination of art forms makes for a special evening … Following are few additional photos showing Jean Calvert and the venue.

Hi Denton,
It looks like an elegant venue for a jazz concert, open space filled with voice and instrument and art. You know how to have a good time.

I am a fan of combining the arts, which this does by allowing an art gallery to become a musical venue for awhile. This gives the attendees double enjoyment.

Denton — It was great meeting you at the Museum this past Thursday evening! You are too kind to include photos of the venue on your website. I always look forward to seeing the Greenville Daily Photo. We had a blast at the Museum! The acoustics were wonderful, the patrons seemed to really enjoy the music, which certainly boosts our enjoyment of it. It was meaningful for me to be there. I was a student there some years ago — we won’t say how many — and it was the portfolio I developed there that got me into Pratt Institute of Art & Design in New York City. Then in New York City, I was able to see living legends up close, and even met some of them. I began honing my jazz vocal skills there, began developing in a whole other artistic arena. It just goes to show, one arts habit leads to another! Again, many thanks. Keep in touch!
