Recently I shared several photos based on the theme of white. Yesterday I started a new color theme of black. I quickly realized that I needed to get past this idea. So today I am sharing the remainder of my black series and promise to move on to a brighter subject tomorrow … Although not the best idea I have had for a photo series I personally enjoyed the challenge of hunting for black photos … Today’s featured photo is of the hood of a black Mercedes on a cloudy day. You can also see petals from Bradford Pear trees on the hood as well. Click on the thumbnails below for the full black effect:
- The ghost of Bogart in a store front window
- A mural partially cover in black paint
- A black house with a black car
- Nate the Fake Snake found at the Innovate building

This is a great photo, Denton. Thank you for going ahead and posting it. I look forward to the next step, in awe of your skill and creativity.
very creative shot! But I like your BMW more:)
Your ability to go into different ideas and themes is really clever and the results are nice. This is very nice photography. I like the blossom petals on the car and the reflection.

I love the reflections you got on the hood……you are a very creative person so I imagine anything you do would be awesome….black or not! We had snow again today…..I think I could use a trip to the south just to see the buds on trees!
thanks for your words of encouragement.
I do like this shot. . .would like to own the Mercedes! ;-)
Re your comments about the condos here: We are also suffering a slowdown in mortgages and such. i can’t understand who is going to buy all these condos, especially at the prices they ask and the economy in such a state! Well, we’re not buying them!
If you get a chance to check me out Saturday, I have a good story on the blog.
Happy Weekend!
Looking at this photo I thought:
Mercedes
reflection
sky
spring blossoms
abstract
symbolism
and finally, black … in that order.
Reflections are wonderful tools to use. Nice capture.
