March 3, 2008 - Apples and bananas

Apples, bananas, oranges, bagels, and water were provided for the runners after they completed the Reedy River Run in downtown Greenville. I found the scene interesting and took this photo to share with our readers. The scene sort of remined me of a festival in Menton France which is based on fruit. Drop by and leave a comment for Jilly who shared photos of over 145 metric tons of citrus at the La Fête du Citron preparation, entrance, dragon, and my favorite the pirate ship. All made from lemons and oranges!

This photo reminds me of Harry Chapin’s song, “30,000 Pounds of Bananas”–it’s splendid. And thanks for your comment about change-of-season photos.
