There were 4,000 runners in the Reedy River Run this weekend. From the field of 4,000 I have chosen to share this ladies smile as she crossed the finish line. In addition several extra photos of individuals and families have been shared. Click on the thumbnails for a larger image.

What a lady! Earrings intact, hair looking great, and a big, big smile. Just how long was this race anyway? Great pictures Denton.

Janice, there were three race events and several events for the kids. There was a 10k run, a 5k run, a 5k walk, and then the shorter events for the kids.

The race draws some “elite” runners so there is one other fun event. Two contestants, from local running clubs, were given a 30 minute head start. If either of the two contestants crossed the finish line before the elite runners then both contestants won a $500 prize. As it turned out they crossed the finish line about 1 minute before the elite runners arrived.

Love this set of photographs, Denton. Particularly love the one of the two children. And your main photo. So much energy and everyone is having such a good time. Fabulous.

Nice series, Denton. Looks like the weather cooperated rather well.

I will have to work on my expression when I cross the finish line on the 10K runs I participate in. My hair or smile never looks as good as the lady featured. Great shot, Dad.

Jilly, I agree kids are always winners when selecting a photo opportunity.

Helen, it was a lot of fun. Funny thing is I worked up a sweat taking photos of the runners (smile). In my defense, I took photos from eight different locations. And I had to quickly take short cuts to be in place when the runners reached each point.

Lynette, third year in a row Greenville has had perfect weather for the run. We wound mention the weather four years ago.

Lorena, when you are in a race there is a high likelihood you will be photographed. You may never see it however someone will reflect on your smile … I suspect you smile also when you cross the finish line.

Great shots — and love the fruit one above. They all look so healthy and vigorous!
